To honour our beloved Queen Elizabeth II, who died on the afternoon of 8^th September 2022, the Pewsey Vale Bellringers rang fully-muffled bells (half-muffled tenor) for one hour from noon on Friday 9^th September 2022 in St Peter’s, Milton Lilbourne; St John’s, Pewsey; St Mary’s, Upavon; and tolled the half-muffled tenor at St Andrew’s, Wootton Rivers.

Our muffled ringing accompanied a time of reflection and contemplation on the life of our longest-serving Monarch. The band will also ring (fully-muffled except for half-muffled tenor) at each church from 10:00am before the Queen’s State Funeral on Monday 19^th September. RIP Your Majesty.
